With the new documentation site and Discussion feature live, this seems like a good moment to think about consolidating developer community efforts. Right now they're split across the Village, Slack, and now this new board, and that fragmentation makes it harder for developers to know where to go.

The Discussion feature is a real improvement. The Village has always leaned more toward a scattered discussion board than a true collaborative space for developers, so this new feature fills a gap it never quite could. Namely inline code and code blocks!

Slack still has a clear role too. I started a ChMS Slack workspace and it's gotten some attention and membership. I'm also active in several others Slack workspaces, and the real-time format works really well for the kind of back-and-forth developers need. I'd like to see that stick around if its desirable.

For what it's worth, Discourse is still the gold standard in my opinion. I demoed it for one of your team members a while back, and it's purpose-built for this kind of thing.

All that said, I'm curious what the long-term plan is for the Village's API forums. If the Discussion board is meant to eventually take over that role, it'd be great to have a clear path there so we're not maintaining three overlapping spaces.
